You're starting inside Old Spitalfields Market, free to enter, seven days a week. If you're going to eat, eat now - the next proper indoor sit-down with tables and toilets is about an hour away, at stop 6. The route is flat, free throughout, and about a kilometre end to end. One stop along the way, stop 4, is a working mosque - you'll check in from across the street, and there's no need to go any closer.
